August “Gus” Fromuth is running for NH State Representative to serve Hillsborough County’s District 21, which includes Ward 1 in Manchester.

Personal Info

Gus has been married to Deborah O’Brien of Manchester since 1977 and they have two sons; Bart and Andrew. They have three wonderful grandchildren, Alexandra, Madeline and Oliver. They have lived in Manchester for over 35 years. Gus attended college in Washington DC at George Washington University and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Work History

Freedom Energy Logistics is led by its President, August Fromuth, a founding member of the NE-POOL End User Sector and former Sector Chairman. From 2010 forward, Mr. Fromuth has served as a member of the ISO-NE Board Member Nomination Committee as a result of his longevity and expertise in the New England Electricity Markets. Mr. Fromuth has over 30 years of electricity and natural gas industry experience and was a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Commerce Department during the Reagan Administration. Mr. Fromuth has made the INC. 500 and 5000 list (America’s fastest growing private companies) numerous times, reaching as high as 49th.

Freedom Energy Logistics (FEL) specializes in direct enrollment of end users in NEPOOL (New Eng Power Pool). FEL Power – as it is known – provides customers with high end energy management services in order to obtain electric power at wholesale prices. Mr. Fromuth pioneered the concept of direct end user access to the bulk power (ISO-NE) market, designing and refining the ground rules for direct market participation by end users. Mr. Fromuth is active in the New England Power Pool stakeholder process and currently serves as an Officer of NePOOL in his capacity as Vice Chair, End User Sector.
